The Spanish Super Cup returns to Riyadh

The Saudi capital, Riyadh, will host the Spanish Football Super Cup in January 2023, the Spanish Football Federation announced on Thursday.

Al-Ittihad said in a statement, The three matches will be held at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, which is a wonderful stadium with a capacity of sixty thousand people.

The semi-finals will be held on January 11 and 12 and the final on January 15.

The first edition of the mini-tournament, which now consists of four teams instead of one match that brings together the league and cup champions (or the runner-up if the champion is the same), was held in Jeddah at the beginning of 2020, but it was held in Seville the following year due to the repercussions of the Corona virus pandemic.

At the beginning of this year, she returned to Saudi Arabia, specifically to Riyadh, and Real Madrid was crowned champion, with a 2-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao in the final.
